Iraklis Kakavanis

Hercules Kakavanis was born in 1966 in Galanovrysi Elassonas, in the Larissa region. He studied philology and has been working as a proofreader for the newspaper "Rizospastis" since 1991. He is a member of the Journalists' Union of the Athens Daily Newspapers (ESIEA). In recent years, he has also been involved in editing publications. He is the author of the book "The Demon of the Printing House," published by "Proskinio" in 2008. He was responsible for the philological editing and wrote the introductory note for the album "Homer's Iliad, 21 Lithographs by Henri Motte," published by "Typoekdotiki" in 2008. In 2009, he edited the memoirs of Lysandros Tamouridis, a National Resistance fighter and officer of the Democratic Army of Greece, titled "From Olympus to Grammos," where he wrote the epilogue, which includes a presentation of the Resistance Press of Elassonas in the Larissa region. He has also written forewords for several other books.
