Lee Child

Lee Child (real name: Jim Grant) was born in 1954 in Coventry and grew up in the industrial region of the Midlands, UK. He studied law and worked for twenty years in private television. His first novel, "Killing Floor" (Greek edition: "Κλοιός θανάτου," 1998), won the Anthony and Barry Award for Best First Novel. This was followed by the famous series of novels featuring Jack Reacher, the solitary, wandering former military police officer, which all became international successes. Today, he divides his time between Manhattan and the South of France and dedicates his free time to music and reading. In 2009, he was elected president of the Mystery Writers of America. In 2013, he was honored in the UK with the Diamond Dagger Award for Lifetime Achievement by the Crime Writers' Association for his contribution to crime fiction.
