Ameir Nassir

He holds a degree from the Department of Theology at the University of Athens and is pursuing a degree in Byzantine music. Born in Haifa in 1976, he grew up in the mountainous region of Galilee near the Lebanese border. He holds Israeli citizenship and is of Orthodox Roman Syrian descent. He belongs to the large and well-known Aeizat family, most of whom reside in the historic and Byzantine city of Madaba in present-day Jordan, with the family having made significant contributions to culture and education. His uncle, Joseph Nassir (Aeizat), is a professor of Arabic language and literature, a renowned poet worldwide, and a patriarchal representative of their Orthodox community. He studied on a scholarship provided by Archbishop Christodoulos. He is engaged in the reflection and social and religious awakening of our Roman and Greek Orthodox tradition.
