Stelios Stylianidis

He studied medicine in Athens and specialized in psychiatry in France at Paris XII. He is an associate professor of social psychiatry and a member of the Hellenic Psychoanalytic Society and the International Psychoanalytical Association. He is also the scientific director of the Society for Regional Development and Mental Health, of which he was a founding member and served as the president of the Board of Directors. He has been the treasurer of the Board of Directors of the World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (WAPR) and served as the president of the Greek Branch. He has collaborated as an expert in Social Psychiatry with the World Health Organization and the European Commission. He served as the director of the Child Psychiatric Hospital of Attica and the director of the Chalkida Mental Health Center, and was a member of the Support Unit for the "Psychargos Phase A" program. His research and published work include three Greek and six international multicenter research programs, for which he was responsible. He has published a total of 85 papers, eight of which are chapters in Greek books and 16 in foreign books, 16 papers in international (foreign-language) journals, and 45 in Greek scientific journals. He has published two foreign-language books (monographs) and three Greek books (monographs) as a co-editor.
