CHristina A. Oikonomopoulou
Christina A. Oikonomopoulou was born in Athens in 1971. She holds a degree in French Language and Literature from the School of Philosophy at the University of Athens. She obtained her Master's and Ph.D. in General and Comparative Literature from Sorbonne University, PARIS IV (under the supervision of Professor Pierre Brunel). She earned an advanced diploma in Economic Terminology, Economics, and Translation from the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Additionally, she holds a piano and music theory degree from the Athens Music Society under Yiannis Ioannidis. She has attended and participated in seminars and conferences on Francophone theater, Francophonie, and the teaching of the French language and specialized terminology in higher education. For four years, she served as a professor of General and Comparative Literature at the Centre Francophone d’Etudes Superieures d’Athenes in collaboration with the University of Bourgogne-Dijon. She worked for eight years at the Commercial Bank of Greece Group as a specialized Interpreter and Translator for the Group's Board of Directors (under the presidencies of Yiannis Stournaras, George Provopoulos, Jean-Frederic Deleuze). Since 2003, she has been teaching at the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of the Peloponnese in Nafplio, focusing on Francophone theater, the French language, and theatrical terminology, as a member of the Special Educational Staff. She is married with two children.
