
Irena Karafilly
Irena Karafylli studied English literature and creative writing. She divides her time between Greece and Montreal, where she works as a writer and journalist. Her short stories have been honored with three literary awards, including the "National Magazine Award" and the "CBC Literary Award." Her stories and articles have been broadcast on radio and published in numerous newspapers such as the "New York Times" and the "International Herald Tribune." She has published three books: "Night Cries," "Ashes and Miracles," and "The Stranger in the Plumed Hat," which was nominated for the Writers' Trust Prize and the Torgi Award.
