J. Michael Straczynski

J. Michael Straczynski (born July 17, 1954) has been a professional writer since 1983 and has been honored with both an Emmy and a Hugo Award. A former journalist for the "Los Angeles Times" and "Time Inc.," he has worked on series such as "The Twilight Zone" and "Murder, She Wrote" and is the creator of "Jeremiah," "Crusade," and "Babylon 5," where he achieved great success. Over the years at Marvel, he has proven to be a versatile screenwriter capable of tackling a wide range of topics, from classic superheroes like Spider-Man to reviving and modernizing an old hero like Thor. Beyond his work in comics and television, Straczynski is also involved in cinema, and for the screenplay of Clint Eastwood's film "Changeling," he was awarded the British Academy Award.
