Aristeidis N. Doulaveras

Aristeidis N. Doulaveras is an Assistant Professor of Folklore at the Department of History, Archaeology, and Cultural Heritage Management at the University of the Peloponnese. He was born in Goura, Corinthia, in 1949. He graduated with honors from the School of Philosophy at the University of Ioannina in 1972 and earned his Ph.D. in Folklore from the same institution with honors in 1988. In 1984, he pursued further studies at the Institute of Education, University of London, on a scholarship from the Greek Ministry of Education. He has served in secondary education as a philology teacher, high school principal, post-secondary center director, and school counselor for philologists. Additionally, he held the position of deputy director at the Regional Training Center (PEK) in Patras and director at PEK Tripolis. He has published books on folklore, ancient Greek, and modern Greek. Many of his articles and book reviews can be found in various folklore and educational journals. He has also participated in Greek and international conferences with presentations and has given numerous lectures and talks. He is a member of several scientific associations and societies.
