Hector Oesterheld

Hector G. Oesterheld (1919-1978). His father was German and his mother was Spanish. He is one of the most renowned and globally recognized comic book creators from Argentina. Creator of works such as Mort Cinder, Sherlock Time, and El Eternauta, he collaborated with some of the most famous comic book artists: Hugo Pratt, Alberto Breccia, and Horacio Altuna. In both his life and his work, he was anti-establishment. A year after the death of Che Guevara, he wrote a biography of him, which provoked the reaction of the junta, leading to his and his daughters' abduction and disappearance.
