
Kallia Papadaki
Kallia Papadaki was born in 1978. She studied economics in the USA at Bard College and Brandeis University. Her first book, the short story collection "The Sound of the Uncovered" (Polis Editions), was awarded the Debut Author Prize by the magazine "Diavazo" in 2010. She has contributed to short story collections, and her poems have been published in the magazines "Nea Estia" and "Poetiki." She is professionally involved in writing screenplays for feature films. Her first screenplay was for Penny Panayotopoulou's film "September." Her novel "Dendrites" (2015), published as part of the Greek-French program supporting authors, translators, and publishers by the Greek and French National Book Centers, was honored with the European Union Prize for Literature in 2017.
