Anna Potamianou
Anna Potamianou holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and is a Fellow of the International Council of Psychologists. Her clinical and theoretical work spans various fields of psychoanalysis, with a particular focus on borderline and psychosomatic organizations, trauma, identifications, and aesthetics. She is a teaching psychoanalyst at the Paris Psychoanalytic Society and the Hellenic Psychoanalytic Society and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Psychoanalytical Association. She is a member of the Psychosomatic Institute of Paris and has served as Vice President of the International Psychosomatic Association. She founded, organized, and directed the Center for Mental Health and Research (1956-1968 and 1994-1998). She served as President of the Hellenic Psychoanalytic Society (1998-2002) and several other Greek and international societies. She has published 8 books, 3 monographs, and contributed to 17 collective volumes. She has also published numerous articles in both international and Greek journals. She has been honored with the Medals of the Greek Resistance and the French Red Cross, as well as distinctions from the Academy of Athens and the Friends of the Hellenic Red Cross.
