Vagelis Mpekas

Vangelis Bekas was born in Preveza in 1976. He studied Production and Management Engineering at the Technical University of Crete, followed by studies in Mass Media Communication. He has published four novels: "The 13th Basement," "Fetish," "The Optimists," and "Black Amulet," and is also involved in screenwriting. In 2015, he received the first prize for a feature-length screenplay from the Greek Screenwriters Guild ("The Pressure Cooker"). His short stories and articles have been published in newspapers and magazines. He lives in Athens, where he coordinates creative writing workshops. His personal blog is: https://barouak.blogspot.gr/
