Lauren Slater

Lauren Slater holds a Master's degree in Psychology from Harvard University and a doctorate from Boston University. She is the author of the books "Welcome to My Country," "Prozac Diary," and "Love Works Like This." She has also contributed articles to the New York Times and magazines such as Harper's, Elle, and Nerve. Her work was included in the annual edition of The Best American Essays in 1994 and 1997. She works as a psychologist and lives with her family in Massachusetts.
