Panos Kaponis
Panos Kaponis is one of the earliest poets of the "Generation of the '70s." He was born on March 25, 1947, in Agrinio. He studied economics and law at the Universities of Thessaloniki and Athens, as well as directing. He has been writing and publishing poetry since 1966. His first poetry collections were "Cocktail" (1972) and "Transformations of Jeremiah" (San Francisco, 1977). His poems, short stories, and essays have been published in various literary magazines in Greece and the USA, as well as in anthologies and other publications. He is a co-founder, along with poet Dinos Siotis, and served for many years as the general secretary of the literary association "Society of Decades." He was also a member of the editorial team of the magazine "(de)kata." Additionally, he is a co-founder of the "Union of Aetoloacarnanian Writers," where he also served as general secretary. He is a lawyer in Athens and has taught Pharmaceutical Law at the University of Patras. Alongside his literary work, he has authored five volumes of university textbooks on Pharmaceutical Law.
