Takeshi Obata

Takeshi Obata was born in 1969 in the city of Niigata and is the illustrator of the popular Shonen Jump series "Hikaru no Go," which won the Tezuka Shinsei "New Hope" award and the "Shogakukan Manga Award" in 2003. Obata is also the illustrator of Arabian Majin Bakentan Lamp Lamp, Ayatsuri Sakon, and Cyborg Jichan G.
