Randy Pausch
Randy Pausch lost his battle with cancer on July 25, 2008. He lived in Virginia, USA, with his wife and their three children. He was a professor of Computer Science (specializing in Human-Computer Interaction and Design) at Carnegie Mellon University. From 1988 to 1997, he taught at the University of Virginia. An award-winning professor and researcher, he collaborated with companies such as Adobe, Google, Electronic Arts (EA), and Walt Disney Imagineering. He was also one of the pioneers of the Alice Project, an innovative approach to introducing teenagers to computer science.
