Nikita Lalwani

Nikita Lalwani was born in 1973 in Kota, Rajasthan, India, and grew up in Cardiff, Wales. She has directed television programs and documentaries for the BBC. She currently resides in London. Her novel "The Gifted" won the Desmond Elliott Prize and was longlisted for the Booker Prize and shortlisted for the Costa Book Award. The Sunday Times named Nikita Lalwani as Best Newcomer Author. "The Gifted" has been translated into sixteen languages.
