Magda Papadimitriou

Magda Papadimitriou was born in Athens in 1963 and grew up in Katerini, where she completed her high school education. She worked at OTE for 29 years. She began experimenting with writing at a very young age. A letter from her teacher, the poet and UNESCO ambassador, Yiannis Koutsocheiras, from Paris, gave her the strength to continue. She was a member of the editorial board of the magazine "Cultural Expression" of the OTE Attica Cultural Center and collaborated with cultural publications in Athens. She is married to Yiannis Samothraki from Tinos and has two children, Eirini and Zacharias. She is a member of the World Poets Society and a founding member of the Pieria Writers' Association. She has published the books: "Without Identity" (self-published, Athens 1983), "Iridescences" (Govosti Publications, 1990), "Eos" (Govosti Publications, 1992), "The Journey of Love from Olympus to the Waves of the Aegean" (Olympus Publications, Katerini 2008), among others. Her articles on cultural topics have been published in many print newspapers in the Pieria region.
