Manolis Koumas
Manolis Koumas was born in 1980 in Athens. He teaches modern European history in the International Baccalaureate program at Psychiko College and Greek history at the Hellenic Open University. He holds a degree from the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Athens. He completed his postgraduate studies in Modern and Contemporary Greek History at the same department and in the History of International Relations at the London School of Economics. In 2008, he was awarded a Ph.D. in History from the University of Athens. He has taught modern Greek history at the Department of History, Archaeology, and Cultural Heritage Management of the University of the Peloponnese, as well as at the University of Cyprus. His academic and research interests include Greek foreign policy, the functioning of the international system in relation to security issues, and the strategy of the Great Powers in the Mediterranean.
