
Maria Xylouri
Maria Xylouri was born on March 12, 1983, in Crete. She studied psychology at Panteion University and continued with postgraduate studies in Psychology and Media. She currently lives in Athens and works as a copywriter. Her first novel, "Rewind" (Kalendis, 2009), was nominated for the Debut Author Award by "Diavazo" magazine in 2010. Her second novel, "How the World Ends" (Kalendis, 2012), was honored with The Athens Prize for Literature by (de)kata magazine in 2013. Additionally, in December 2011, she was awarded one of the three writing scholarships granted during the 1st Festival of Young Writers, organized by EKEVI.
