Manolis Tsipos

Manolis Tsipos was born in 1979 in Athens. He has been living and working in Amsterdam since 2010. He completed studies in environmental science and acting. Tsipos has participated in international theater festivals and the XXIII Biennale of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean as a playwright. He has been awarded for film scripts by the National Book Center ("Skarimbim, Skarimbom...", together with Vassilis Noulas), and his writings have been published in literary magazines. Since 2006, with its founding, he has primarily collaborated in directing with the Nova Melancholia group on theatrical and film productions. "Sabine X." was his first published book. It was awarded in 2008 at the Greek Playwriting Competition organized by the National Theatre and the General Secretariat for Youth, and it was performed at the National Theatre (Contemporary Theatre of Athens) in May 2009.
