Vasilis Danellis

Vasilis Danellis was born in Athens in 1982, where he grew up and studied. In 2006, he spent time in the chilly north of England, completing his postgraduate studies, and since 2009, he has been living in Istanbul. He is a journalist and has worked for newspapers, magazines, and radio. He has written short stories for the radio show "Thieves & Cops on 902" and the collection "Greek Crimes 3" (Kastaniotis Editions, 2009). He is a founding member of the Greek Crime Writers' Club (E.L.S.A.L.) and a member of the editorial team of The Crimes and Letters Magazine (CLM), a crime literature review. From a young age, he frequently traveled to Elroy's Los Angeles, Block's New York, Taibo's Mexico City, Izzo's Marseille, Montalban's Barcelona, and other noir cities around the world. However, he always believed that Athens is just as, if not more, dark. He has also written short stories for anthologies and radio. His work "Black Beer" has been translated into Turkish, and his short stories have been translated into Turkish and Slovenian.
