Stefanos F. Vasilopoulos

Stefanos Vasilopoulos was born and raised in Patras. He studied Education at the University of Patras and Psychology at the University of Athens. He received a state scholarship and pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Sussex and the University of London, where he earned his Ph.D. He worked for approximately three years in Primary Education and, since 2006, has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Patras, specializing in Pedagogy and Counseling. He is the author of about 40 published scientific papers, mainly in reputable international journals. His scientific and research interests primarily focus on school counseling and guidance, anxiety and shyness in children and young people, professional burnout in education, and non-verbal teacher-student communication. Additionally, in 2009, he received a three-year grant from the University of Patras (under the "K. Karatheodori" Program) to study the effectiveness of an innovative psychoeducational program for elementary students with high levels of anxiety.
