Gilbert Sorrentino

Gilbert Sorrentino (1929-2006) authored over 30 books, including the classic "Mulligan Stew" and two novels that were finalists for the PEN/Faulkner Award: "Little Casino" and "Aberration of Starlight." He was a two-time recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship and, in 2005, received the Lannan Lifetime Achievement Award. Formerly the editor-in-chief of Grove Press, Sorrentino taught at Stanford University before returning to his hometown of Brooklyn.
