Kalliopi Kountouri

Kalliopi Kountouri was born and raised in Kalymnos and currently resides in Athens. She holds a degree in Archaeology and Art History from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Master's in Art History from the University of Glasgow, and a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of the Aegean. Her academic focus is on modern and contemporary art. She was jointly awarded the CHART AWARD by Birkbeck College, University of London, for the best paper on art and technology. Kalliopi has served as a scientific collaborator, curator, and exhibition coordinator at the Museum of Modern Greek Art of the Municipality of Rhodes. She was also the editor-in-chief of two art magazines. She has taught Greek language, literature, art, history, and philosophy to students, adults, and international students. Her publications include books, art catalogs, critical essays, and articles. She conducts book presentations and lectures and has designed and implemented educational programs and cultural tours. Additionally, she curates exhibitions and organizes academic art and cultural projects. Kalliopi currently works at the Music School of Piraeus and teaches four courses on culture and art at the Hellenic American University.
