CHristos Katsikas

Christos Katsikas was born in 1960. He studied at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Thessaloniki (1979-1983) and has been working in secondary education since 1985. He is an editor for the magazine "Antitetradia tis Ekpaidefsis," a member of the Board of Directors of the Panhellenic Union of Philologists, and an educational editor for the newspaper "Ta Nea." He is a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Ioannina. His scientific interests lie in the field of sociology of education and educational policy. He is the author of the following books: - "Inequality in Greek Education" Gutenberg 1994, 2000 (co-authored with G. Kavvadias) - "Greek Education on the Horizon of 2000," Gutenberg 1996 (co-authored with G. Kavvadias). - "Twelve Myths of Education," Ta Tramakia 1997. - "Crisis of the School and Educational Policy," Gutenberg 1998 (co-authored with G. Kavvadias). - "School, Class, and Ideology - The Fairy Tales of Our School Life," Ellinika Grammata 1999, among others.
