Elena Staniou
Elena Staniou was born and raised in Volos. She holds a Ph.D. in Children's Literature from the University of Thessaly. Since 1999, she has been working as a kindergarten teacher in public education. She speaks two languages, French and English, and has a master's degree in children's literature. Her articles have been published in journals such as "Diadromes," "Keimena," "Ta Ekpaideftika," "Bookbird," as well as in the newspapers "Thessalia" and "Tachydromos," and she has a story published in "A Window to Children's Education." She has participated in activities related to children's books and has conducted presentations and seminars on children's literature, including seminar courses for students of the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Thessaly. Since 2009, she has been writing children's books, which are published by Psychogios Publications and Ira Publications. She is a member of the Panhellenic Association of Friends of Storytelling (POFA), the Book Center of Magnesia Authors (KEVIMASY), and the Circle of Greek Children's Book (KEPB). She is married and a mother of three children.
