Kyriakos CHaritos

Kyriakos Charitos was born in Chalkida and grew up in Australia. He studied in Athens and England, where he also worked as an actor in a traveling physical comedy troupe. He has written five children's books: "Von Kourabie Against Count Melomakaroni," "The Book of Your Own Christmas," "The Song of Sleep" (METAICHMIO), "Little Manu and the Moon" (Potamos), "The Whole and the Little" (Kastaniotis), for which he was nominated for the State Children's Literature Award and the State Illustrated Book Award. He has translated children's literature and Aristophanes' comedies into comics for METAICHMIO publications. In 2007, he was awarded for the screenplay of the film "En Thermo" in Drama. In 2016, his poetic work "In Vain" was published by Kedros, and in 2022, his prose "A Small Encyclopedia of Death" was released by Stereoma. In 2023, he was honored with the State Children's Literary Book Award for his work "Imagine," published by METAICHMIO. He publishes prose and poetry in the magazines Odos Panos and Entefktirio.
