
Walter Isaacson
Walter Isaacson, a historian and author, began his career as a journalist. He worked with Time magazine from 1978, initially as a political correspondent, and rose to the position of editor-in-chief in less than two decades. He spent two years as the president and CEO of the television channel CNN. In 2003, he became the president of the Aspen Institute, an international non-profit organization dedicated to "fostering enlightened leadership and open-minded dialogue." Immediately after Hurricane Katrina, he was appointed vice-chairman of the Louisiana Recovery Authority. He lives with his wife in Washington.
