
Elissavet Eydoridou
Elisavet Evdoridou teaches Italian at the University of Thessaly. She earned her degree in Italian Philology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1987 and her D.E.A. postgraduate degree in Italian Studies from the Sorbonne University Paris IV in 2001, with the thesis "Etude Comparee entre Litterature et Peinture. Luigi Pirandello et Telemaco Signorini." In 2005, she was awarded a Ph.D. from the Department of Italian Language and Literature at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in 'Semiotic Text Analysis. Application to Umberto Eco's 'Baudolino'.' Her research interests include works by Eco, Pirandello, Signorini, Manzoni, Ungaretti, Foscolo, Fallaci, Pasolini, Moravia, Segre, Fellini, Fabbri, Morante, Maraini, Savinio, as well as broader applications of semiotic text theory in Italian Literature. Her work has been presented at international and national conferences and published in international journals. She is a peer reviewer for international scientific journals and the author of the monographs: "The Child in Italian Literature. Semiotic Analysis" (2006), "Conjunction of Semiotics, Reception, and Psychoanalysis. Theory and Applications" (2007), and "Projections of Semiotics in Italian Literature" (2007), published by the University of Thessaly Press.
