Kader Abdolah

Kader Abdolah is the pseudonym of Hossein Sadjadi Ghaemmaghami, formed from the names of two executed friends. Abdolah was born on December 12, 1954, in Arak, Iran. In 1988, he left Iran and sought political asylum in the Netherlands, where he continues to live. He began writing in Dutch in 1993. "The House of the Mosque," one of the greatest successes in recent Dutch literary history, was published in 2005.
