Laurence Bergreen

Lawrence Bergreen is an award-winning biographer and historian. He studied at Harvard and is a member of the PEN American Center, The Explorers Club, the Authors Guild, and the New York Society Library. He contributes to numerous magazines and newspapers, including Esquire, Newsweek, and The Chicago Tribune, and serves as a historian for the History Channel. He has taught at the New School for Social Research and has participated on the judging panels for the National Book Awards and the PEN/Albrand Nonfiction Award. He frequently lectures at universities and international symposia. His books have been translated into more than 20 languages. The book "Magellan" is being adapted into a film. Lawrence Bergreen lives in New York.
