Dimitrios I. Koletsos

Dimitrios I. Koletsos was born in Avlona, Trifylia (Prefecture of Messinia). He studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He was hired by the Public Power Corporation (DEI) and advanced to a senior executive position. After his retirement, he collaborated with Interamerican as an insurance and investment advisor. He is involved in folklore and historical topics related to his village and beyond. He is a contributor to the magazine "Trifyliaki Estia" and local newspapers such as "Eleftheria" of Kalamata, "Pammessiniaki," "Messiniaka Nea," "Panolybiaki," "Sidirokastritiko Antilaloi," "Vanada," and "Kefalovrysi." His first literary work was published in 1997 and focuses on his village, titled "Avlona and Its Place Names."
