Dimitris Michalopoulos

Dimitris Michalopoulos was born in Athens in 1952. He completed his secondary education at the Italian School and then attended the University of Athens and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris, where he earned his Ph.D. in History in 1978. He served as a member of the private office of Konstantinos Karamanlis from 1980 to 1982. Until 1994, he was an assistant professor at the University of Thessaloniki and, until 2000, the director of the Museum of the City of Athens (Vouros-Eutaxias). Currently, he is the scientific director of the Eleftherios Venizelos Foundation for History and the corresponding National Period.
