Anastasia Gitsi

Anastasia Gkitsi is a theology professor in secondary education with postgraduate studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.) and the Centre Orthodoxe du Patriarcat Œcuménique in Switzerland. She is a doctoral candidate in the field of Dogmatics at A.U.Th. A poet and columnist for both print and online media, she has published two personal poetry collections and contributed to a collective volume. She is the creator and inspiration behind the artistic triptych "Sygorma," where poetry harmonizes with music and visual arts. Her articles, studies, translations, and poems have been published in collective volumes, newspapers, magazines (both Greek and international), and anthologies. She has received awards and commendations for her poems and short stories from organizations such as S.E.K.V.E, Griechischer Kunst und Literatur Verein, Union of European Writers, and MusicHeaven. Her monologue has been adapted for the stage by the Contact Ensemble group, and her poems have been performed by the Trickortreat and Persona non grata groups. She has participated in events and festivals including the XV Biennale of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean, the 1st Young Writers Festival by EKEBI, the Cross my art new creation festival, desThess Party, Abnormal coocreation, Limani Allios, Tea is Art...
