Lina Louvi

Lina Louvi studied History at the Sorbonne University (Paris I), where she also earned her doctorate. She has taught Modern European and Greek History in the Departments of History and Archaeology at the University of Crete and History and Ethnology at the Democritus University of Thrace. Currently, she is a professor in the Department of Political Science and History at Panteion University. She has written studies and articles on the political history of the Greek state and the Greek national issue in the 19th and 20th centuries. Her book titled "Perigelotos Vasíleion: The Satirical Newspapers and the National Issue, 1875-1886" (2002) was awarded by the Academy of Athens.
