
Norman Stone
Norman Stone was born in Glasgow in 1941 and is one of the most prominent British historians. He has been awarded the Wolfson History Prize for his book "The Eastern Front, 1914-1917" and the Fontana History of Europe Prize for "Europe Transformed, 1878-1919". He has worked as a professor at the University of Oxford and as a lecturer at the University of Cambridge. He also served as an advisor to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on foreign policy matters. Currently, he is a faculty member in the Department of International Relations at Bilkent University in Ankara. He is married, has three children, and divides his time between Oxford, Ankara, and Istanbul.
