Mania Meziti

Mania Meziti was born in 1965 in Athens, where she currently resides. She studied Nursing at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens and practiced for fifteen years. In 2004, she graduated from The Open University UK with a BA, Honours Degree in Literature. She completed a two-year translation program at the European Centre for the Translation of Literature and Human Sciences (EKEMEL), focusing on translating from English to Greek. From 2007 to 2010, she collaborated with the publishing house Ellinika Grammata as a professional reader of English-language literature. She has translated poems and articles for print magazines and newspapers ("Eleftherotypia," "Avgi," "Books' Journal," "Poetics"). Today, she works as a translator and curates the online anthology "poets.gr," which features emerging and contemporary Greek poets. Her first poetry book, "The Black In-Between," was published in April 2018 by Kyma Publications.
