Stelios Antoniadis

Stelios Antoniadis was born in Istanbul, where he completed his education at the Zografeion Lyceum. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Athens. He specialized in Pediatrics and completed his doctoral thesis (with honors) at the First Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens at the "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital. He further specialized in Pediatric Cardiology at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London as a salaried Registrar, as well as at the Children's Hospital of Harvard University and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University in the USA. Upon returning to Greece, he worked as a Registrar at the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic of "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital, at the Hygeia Hospital (catheterizations, angiocardiographies, digital angiographies, interventional cardiology), and collaborated with almost all maternity hospitals in Athens as a Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist (fetal echocardiography, treatment of fetal tachycardias for the first time in our country, etc.). He has written 12 books and 6 chapters in other books. Three of his books have been taught in higher education for the past 20 years. His research and scientific work consists of approximately 300 scientific papers and articles published in the most prestigious scientific journals in Greece and abroad, and presented at the most significant international and Greek conferences. A large portion of his research work is original. He is a Professor in Higher Education and the Director of a Pediatric Cardiology Clinic. Beyond his scientific, educational, and writing activities, he is involved in art, art collection, philosophy, and particularly literature. He is a member of literary societies and associations (American Philosophical Practitioners Association, Association of Greek Writers, Hellenic Society of Medical Writers, etc.) and has been honored with diplomas and 2 gold medals.
