Steve McNiven

Steve McNiven, who initially taught visual arts at North Toronto Collegiate Institute, made the life-changing decision to travel to the San Diego Comic Convention. There, he managed to secure a position at CrossGenerations Comics armed only with his portfolio. He soon became the regular illustrator for the series "Meridian." After CrossGen's closure, Marvel offered him the opportunity to illustrate "Marvel Knights 4," where he collaborated with writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. His realistic artwork perfectly matched the series, leading to the success of the new "Fantastic Four" series. In 2005, he worked with Warren Ellis on the series "Ultimate Secret," and in 2006, together with Mark Millar, they shook the Marvel Universe with the highly successful series "Civil War." The duo collaborated again on the series "Old Man Logan," presenting a gripping adventure of the now-aged mutant, and they are preparing to team up for the third time on the series "Nemesis."
