Giannis Papadatos
Giannis Papadatos was born in Zakynthos. He holds a degree from the Medical School of the University of Athens and specialized in neurology and psychiatry. He worked as a researcher at Vanderbilt University in the USA with a scholarship from the World Health Organization. He served as the scientific director of the Mental Health and Research Center and as chairman of its Board of Directors. Currently, he is a professor of psychophysiology and mental hygiene and the director of the Center for the Study of Psychophysiology and Education at the University of Athens. He is a member of the Senate of the University of Athens. He has also been a Member of Parliament and chairman of the Educational Affairs Committee, as well as a member of the parliamentary cross-party committee for addressing drug issues. He has authored books on scientific and political topics and has published more than 120 scientific papers in international and Greek journals.
