Christophe Galfard

Christophe Galfard was born in 1976 in France. He studied applied mathematics and theoretical physics. He earned his PhD at Cambridge under the supervision of the renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, with whom he collaborated on his first book, which received numerous awards in Young Adult Science Literature. The book, "The Prince of Clouds," is the first part of a trilogy. It won the Best Young Adult Science Book Award from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the Best Young Adult Novel Award 2010 from the General Council of the Vosges. Additionally, the second book in the series received the First Prize for the French Book on the Environment 2013 (Prix du Livre Environnement de la fondation Veolia). Since 2012, he has appeared on Elisabeth Quin's show "28 min" on the French channel Arte.TV, presenting scientific topics.
