Dimitra Stayrou
Dimitra Stavrou was born in 1970 in Würzburg, Germany. She studied Archaeology and Art History at the School of Philosophy of the University of Crete, where she obtained a master's degree in Byzantine studies. She also studied music, earning a degree in flute performance. She worked as an archaeologist, primarily on the Athens Metro excavations from 1995 to 2003, and was a member of the Athens Youth Symphony Orchestra for five years. For several years, she has been teaching music. Since 2011, she has been involved in proofreading and editing texts for Stamoulis Publishing. In 2012, she co-authored the book "Prosforo and Artos" with Stavroula Stamati, published by Athos Publishing, which is set to release its fourth edition this year. "Fotis and the Lights" is her first children's book.
