
Giannis Vasilakopoulos
Giannis Vasilakopoulos was born in Glyfada in 1972. He began his journalism career at a very young age with the local newspaper "Adesmefti Gnomi Glyfadas," while also being active in the ranks of ONNED. During his university years, both at Panteion University, where he studied in the Department of Communication and Media Studies, and at the Southampton Institute of Higher Education in the UK, where he studied shipping, he was highly active, eventually being elected president of the Greek Student Community of Southampton. He worked for the newspapers "Akropolis," "Kyriakatiko Elefthero," "Avriani," "Apofasi," "Polis," and "Oikonomia." He was the first editor of the morning newspaper "Ano-Kato" and the weekly newspaper "Politiki Kontra." He also worked at the radio stations Antenna, Kanal 1, Athina 9.84, and the Radio Station of the Church of Greece.
