Katelis Viglas

Katelis Viglas was born in Volos in 1969. He studied History and Archaeology at the School of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina. With a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation in the field of Byzantine and Modern Greek Philosophy, he pursued postgraduate studies at the School of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His dissertation focuses on the History of Philosophy. He is a member of the Hellenic Philosophical Society, the International Society of Philosophers, and the Working Group for the Study of Byzantine Philosophy in Greece. His research interests include Neoplatonism, Byzantine Philosophy, Theology, Philosophy of History, History of Scientific Ideas, Anthropology, Historiography, Comparative Literature, among others. He has authored approximately 80 papers published in reputable international scientific journals and other publications.
