Kostis Karpozilos

Kostis Karpozilos was born in Ioannina in 1978. He is a historian and the director of the Archives of Contemporary Social History (ASKI). He studied Modern Greek Literature at the Department of Philology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, pursued postgraduate studies in history at the University of Sheffield, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Crete in 2010. He wrote the script for the documentary "Class Consciousness: The Untold Story of Greek-American Radicalism" (2013) and the book "Stavros Kallergis Archive: Mosaics from the Design of the Socialist State" (Benaki Museum, 2013). He teaches modern history at College Year in Athens and has taught at the University of the Peloponnese, Sciences Po, and Columbia University. He has also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton and Oxford universities.
