Panagiota Georgopoulou
Panagiota Georgopoulou studied political science at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. She obtained her D.E.A. in History and Civilizations at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) and subsequently completed her doctoral dissertation at Université Paris VIII, Saint-Denis Vincennes, focusing on the socio-political "neutrality" of technology and science in Western societies. She has taught as Adjunct Faculty at the Hellenic Open University and currently teaches in the Department of Sociology at Panteion University. Her publications include studies on contemporary social theory, with a particular emphasis on the post-humanist turn, the epistemology of social sciences, and the socio-political aspects of new technologies.
