Viktor E. Frankl

Viktor E. Frankl (1905-1997), one of the most significant thinkers of the 20th century, was a professor of neurology and psychiatry at the University of Vienna and served as the director of its Neurological Clinic for 25 years. He is the founder of the so-called "Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy." After his liberation from concentration camps at the end of World War II, he traveled extensively for forty years, delivering numerous lectures across Europe, America, Australia, Asia, and Africa. He held professorships at Harvard, Stanford, and the University of Pittsburgh, and was a distinguished professor of Logotherapy at the United States International University in San Diego. Twenty-nine universities awarded him honorary degrees, and the American Psychiatric Association honored him with the Oskar Pfister Award. Viktor E. Frankl's entire body of work has been translated into 38 languages, and his book "Man's Search for Meaning" has sold millions of copies, ranking among the ten most influential books in the United States.
