Dimosthenis Kourtovik

Demosthenes Kourtovik was born in Athens in 1948. He studied biology in Athens and Stuttgart and holds a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Wrocław. He taught at the Department of Psychology at the University of Crete, focusing on the evolution of human sexuality (the subject of his doctoral thesis) and comparative psychology. Alongside his scientific career, he has been involved in theater, film criticism, and literature as an author, critic, and translator (having translated approximately 60 books from eight foreign languages). He has explored all forms of prose (novels, short stories, essays, aphorisms, literary criticism, etc.). His novels and short stories have been translated into ten foreign languages.
