Richard Peet
Richard Peet is a Professor of Geography at Clark University. He grew up near London and studied at the London School of Economics, the University of British Columbia, and the University of Berkeley. His main interests include development, political systems, globalization, power, social theory, philosophy, and Marxism. For many years, he served as the editor-in-chief of the journal Antipode: A Radical Journal of Geography. He also worked as the editor-in-chief of the journal Economic Geography and currently holds this position at Human Geography, a new periodical. He has authored twelve books, including "Theories of Development" co-authored with Elaine Hartwick (2008), "Liberation Ecologies" co-authored with Michael Watts (2004), and "Geographies of Power."
